Implementation of supplier management policy and applicable regulations
The Company’s supplier management policy aims to establish a supplier management mechanism to ensure that suppliers implement sustainable development principles and ethical standards in respect of quality, cost, delivery, and service quality, thereby working together to build a supply chain that moves toward sustainable development and emphasizes environmental protection, safety and health, labor rights, and ethical standards
● Key points of supplier management
◆ Working with suppliers whose sources are unknown and do not have legal licenses is strictly prohibited; we do not support or use metals from armed conflicts or illegal mining.
◆ We share the responsibilities for environmental protection, labor rights, health and safety, ethics, as well as company management mechanisms and systems with suppliers, and require them to sign the Senao Group Supplier Ethical Transaction and Integrity Commitment formulated by the Company.
◆ Green procurement: We promote the Company’s green procurement concept for the purpose of sustainable development and encourage suppliers to provide eco-friendly products and services at competitive and reasonable prices to reduce the impact on the environment.
◆ Local procurement: We adhere to the principles of local development and local supply, actively work with local suppliers and engage in local procurement for timely and appropriate procurement, reduce management and operating costs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from long-distance shipping, to create local jobs and economic prosperity.
● Supplier’s specific actions◆ New supplier evaluation and selection: When selecting new suppliers, we survey candidates, including review of written materials and on-site inspections to understand their business operations; for example, qualified suppliers should obtain a valid registration certificate issued by the government).
◆ Supplier evaluation management: We regularly evaluate our existing suppliers, including but are not limited to environmental protection (such as environmental labels or energy conservation and carbon reduction), occupational safety and health (such as safety control or public security and disaster prevention), labor rights (such as ban on conflict minerals, sexual harassment prevention, and no forced labor).
◆ Supplier coaching and training: We audit suppliers’ actions in environmental protection, occupational safety and health, or labor rights from time to time.
● Supplier evaluation
◆ To ensure that suppliers’ conduct is in compliance with the Company’s commitment to sustainable development, suppliers, with whom we regularly work, and whose annual transactions with the Company reach NT$30 million or more should receive a supplier evaluation per year. The evaluation indicators are handled based on each unit’s supplier selection procedures, including but not limited to environmental protection, occupational safety and health, and labor rights. We complete a summary of annual supplier evaluation results before the first quarter of each year and submit it to the responsible unit.
